Deutsche Bahn: Reisendeninformation
The Challenge DB RIS operates critical passenger information systems across Germany's rail network. With hundreds of microservices, strict uptime SLAs, and regulatory requirements from a federally-owned infrastructure operator, the platform team faced growing incident complexity. Only a handful of senior engineers had the cross-system knowledge to diagnose multi-service failures effectively. What Changed After a structured proof of concept, DB RIS deployed Hyground on-premises inside their own infrastructure, zero data egress, fully compliant with internal security requirements. Hyground gave the broader on-call team access to cross-stack investigation capabilities previously limited to the most senior engineers, reducing diagnosis time and enabling faster, more independent incident resolution.
- < 40 min: MTTR on complex multi-service incidents
- 70%: Incidents resolved without senior SRE escalation
- Zero egress: all data stays within DB infrastructure
